More stupidity from Downtown!

So right after I posted that last post, I went back to Downtown…and saw some real intelligence at work here, people.

Besides the general lack of knowledge people have about Karma Koin gift cards and what they do, I saw:

  1. Three or four people were alternating between asking, begging, and screaming for people to have a fashion show at their houses. Why they couldn’t have done this themselves is beyond me. Then, when someone sensible pointed out that Fantage has an actual Fashion Show game at Top Models, all of these people said some variation of “no”. And promptly went back to screaming.
  2. A girl in the middle of the big crowd in Downtown asking some random other person to move every five seconds. You are in the middle of a crowd, lady. It’s not going to magically part for you. Then instead of doing what any sane person would do and moving up higher where fewer people are, she just used her scepter to grow and started screaming about the hangout at her “plc”. (I don’t really get why people can’t be bothered to type the A or the E, but I digress.) And then when a normal-sized girl stood on her, she got all worked up about it, because a regular-sized Fantagian is totally going to prevent people from clicking on you when you’re huge. Yeah, okay, then.
  3. This exchange: “Stop following me.” “I LOVE YOU!” Clearly these people have learned their ways of showing romantic affection from Twilight.
  4. This other exchange: “Hi, your cute!” “I no.” “It’s I know, not I no.” “I no.” “It’s I know.” “And it’s swag.” The “I no” girl was also holding “bea” tryouts, just FYI.
  5. Someone thought MyMall was an overrated place to ask for items and started asking people if they had bunny nose. Because the average Fantagian Downtown has all kinds of wanted items from five years ago!

Also, for everything that happened that made it to this list, there were about a million people hosting various tryouts. At least one of said people did not actually check their house in the middle of all this tryout screaming, because they had to be told multiple times that there were a lot of people waiting there.

And on an unrelated note, sorry for not posting a lot, guys! Between ACNL, SMM, and real life, I haven’t had a ton of time for Fantage. I’ve mostly been on to recruit and to restock my kiosk/get more permission, but that’s it. I did notice that they removed the eCoins you get when you make a new account, though. (But they’re always changing things about the registration process, and you do still get eCoins for completing Michelle’s tutorials.)

P.S. Thanks for helping us get 10,000 views, guys! 😀

Thanks to CutieCake, I managed to get enough Gold for the limited dress!

Thank you SO, SO, SO much. No, really. Sadly, I only have about 700 Gold right now, so I can’t exactly pay you back yet, but I will as soon as I get the chance!  🙂

And to answer the probable questions of everyone else reading this, 1. I’m still on vacation, 2. I haven’t been going on Fantage very much, 3. the contest for $50 in Karma Koin gift cards is still going on on BRD (so join today and get posting!), and 4. I’m on BRD daily.

I’ve also gotten back into ACNL recently, but my Internet here doesn’t like letting me visit other people for some reason. I’ll check out dream towns you post the addresses of here, though! mainly looking for your guys’ towns and ones with cute clothes to take home

Thanks again to CutieCake, and to everyone else, have a great day!

“New” Servers…?

Okay, so I was going to get a picture of this, but I very stupidly decided to continue on to Fantage, so unfortunately I don’t have photo proof. But when I logged in just now, there were like five or six “new” servers in addition to the regular ones… I say “new” with quotation marks because I’m pretty sure these were all actually servers that got taken off a long time ago, but WTF???

Sadly, Scarlet Starfish was not on the list. ;-;

If you’ve seen something similar or have a favorite server you want to see back, feel free to leave a comment below! 🙂

P.S. Don’t forget to enter our joint contest with Bearville Rainy Days for a chance to win Karma Koin gift cards! Details can be found here.

People Are STILL Trading…

Well, it looks like all the work Fantage did to try to get people to stop trading was all for nothing! 🙄

Between last night and now, I’ve seen multiple people ask about trading items without ever having gone on the popular servers. All of them have been members.

Apparently these people don’t get that nonmembers lost the ability to do pretty much anything at MyMall because of people like them. You’d think they’d get that after having to click past the notice saying not to trade every time they visit MyMall, but I guess not. So to all you nonmembers out there, you should know that you just lost MyMall privileges for nothing! Yep, that’s right, nothing!

Really, at this point, I don’t know why Fantage doesn’t just introduce a trading system so that people could trade FAIRLY. None of this “scamming” nonsense or “who goes first?” or anything like that. Bearville had a trading system. Gaia has one. And you know what? SCAMMING IS NOT AN ISSUE WHEN YOU HAVE A FAIR TRADING SYSTEM.

Oh, well. We all know MyMall is going to go down the toilet, anyway.

Have a GREAT rest of your day, guys! And remember, nonmembers, you just lost the ability to buy MyMall permission for NOTHING. 🙄

Raising the Min?

So as everyone knows, Fantage raised the minimum price of all items below 1000 Gold to that amount.

…Or did they?

I was looking through the MyMall search, trying to find what Casey was selling so I would know what her kiosk was, and I came across a bunch of items up for…500 Gold. WTF?

so tiredneed sleep

(No, I’m not censoring these people’s names, because there is absolutely no reason for me to do that and you could find out who they were by *gasp* going to their kiosks. Or using the MyMall search function.)

I did some more sleuthing, and it turns out that I’m going to have to take back what I said earlier on BRD and in WP comments about Fantage being stupid and raising the minimum prices for items nobody cares about. That’s right, the crappiest LuckyBot and (possibly) Cody’s Crazy Combos items still have minimum prices of 500 Gold. (For the LuckyBot items, I can see why they did this, since LuckyBot items are given a Gold pricing based on their value/rank and raising the price for one group of said items would mess up that system entirely. But I digress.)

Everything else is still going for 1000 Gold and up, and Fantage is still stupid to have done what they did with the MyMall permission/kiosk thing in general, but hey, at least they realize nobody wants the crappy recolors of those jackets and sweaters and roller skates.

P.S. Happy early PM Weekend! You can read our tips and tricks for making the most out of your sudden membership here.

Why the Fantage Developers are Stupid

Allow me to rant for a second here.

So if you checked out Fantage on March 17 2016 you’ll notice that there are some new FANTASTIC updates! Here we got a greedy money maker company who pays their workers minimum wage, who decides that they need more money in a stupid manner!

They essentially made it so only premium members, the people who spend at least five dollars a month to have a higher level than anyone else and can be a total cheapskate because they can wear starred items which are worth much less than their coined counterparts can purchase permission!

Now you could argue that non members can still obtain permission from the daily attendance and Luckybot, but when you think about it, doesn’t that make no sense? So people can get permission for FREE, but they can’t pay for it? I’m pretty sure they intended to remove the entire feature for nons! Eventually free permission will be removed too! They most likely overlooked the idea.

Anyways, Fantage does want more kids to steal their parents’ credit card, but this is an IDIOTIC way to go around it! LET ME TELL YOU WHY!

Now that there’s no intensive for non members to play unless they are rich, there’s no reason to go on Fantage anymore! Not everyone is interested in investing real money into a virtual world! Not everyone is going to go that far!

Besides, if they wanted membership, they would have gotten it in the first place! Sure you might drive 1 or 2 people to purchase one, but you’ll have more people quitting than spending some cash monthly!

For one day it costed 300. 800 for 3 days. And it was around 1400 for a week. It isn’t just small pocket money, it’s quite a lot! So… What’s the point of making it only for members, considering that most people buy gold in the first place? They’re still making profits this way, no need to remove it!

I believe that members do not have many rights. They can buy items with stars in shops, wear starred items, have cheaper MyMall permissions, can post 5 items in MyMall, buy SOME limited items, and they can level up more. That’s it. BUT C’MON MAKING IT SO NONS DON’T HAVE PERMISSION IS SUCH A HUGGEEE DIFFERENCE!

  • INCREASE THE MONTHLY STAR ALLOWANCE. BY A LOT. 5000 STARS IS LIKE NOTHING NOWADAYS. WHY NOT MAKE IT 100,000? (After all, it just saves time for people to play those childish games over and over again.)

Anyways, the point is, you can add more features without removing features that non members used to have. I mean what is Fantage now, Club Penguin?

St Patrick Day Outfits – GOLD FREE!

Yeah, I know I stated that I won’t be doing fashion posts anymore because everyone else does them, but I honestly don’t know what else to post (EVERYONE DOES EVENT POSTS TOO), so I decided to do Saint Patrick Day outfits… Without the use of gold at all, aka with all shop items. I only made two because this is actually pretty difficult:

part 1

part 2

To be honest, I really like the first one. You could literally make any outfit Saint Patrick Day themed, just wear that lucky clover board LOL (or wear that face paint)

This is my outfit for this event:

part 3

I really like it. :>

Actually, I’d like to see people trying to make a Saint Patrick Day outfit with only shop items. If you try this, comment down below. TRY TO MAKE A REALLY GOOD ONE. I DARE YOU.

Marina’s MyMall Adventures

I know you guys are used to Casey doing these, but this girl I just had the “pleasure” of talking to was so idiotic, I felt I had to share this story.

So I went to MyMall today and, almost right away, this girl started screaming “IS SO-AND-SO A SCAMMER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!” only with a lot of “awesome”s attached. So I started saying “no trade no problem” like I normally do when there’re people whining about scamming. And…the girl got really mad at me and told me to GTFO. So I said it was her fault if she got scammed. Guess what her reply was?

“But I have Instagram!”

Yes, Instagram magically protects you from being scammed now. It doesn’t matter if someone tries to get you to give them movie star hair for the minimum price in exchange for fake money or something. Nope, if you have Instagram, you’re all good! -_-

…Seriously, the amount of stupidity in MyMall is astounding. 🙄

Back to the Basics: Panda Pullover

Hey, remember when we used to do fashion posts? Well, as you can probably tell, the admins haven’t really had the time or energy to make those lately (but we DO have an AMAZING guide on how to make your own fashion posts!). Another thing you can probably also tell at this point is that we’re not huge fans of being generic. So, without further ado, I’d like to present our new fashion post category: Back to the Basics! Are you tired of looking the exact same as everyone else at MyMall? Do you wish you had more options for enjoying your hard-earned popular items besides 1. genericness or 2. reselling them? Well, then, this category is for YOU! Now you can be completely original by copying using our own outfit ideas as inspiration! Who knows, maybe these kinds of posts will even become a trend, meaning that looking original will become generic. 😮 Okay, I probably shouldn’t make everyone’s heads explode, so…

Today’s Item: Panda Pullover

We all know and love (or hate) it. This item was released during Summer Camp 2015 and, despite its mediocre shading, it managed to become worth tens of thousands of Gold in a matter of months. (Funny how that happens… Probably because I didn’t buy it right away, but oh well.) Now, people who want it are forced to scream about it at MyMall, and people who have it are encouraged to sell it for “Min So Gimme”.

(Also, for all the nonmembers in the audience, panda pullover is guaranteed to be coined. It was only buyable with Gold during the event it was in, so don’t worry about not being able to wear it.)

Onto how to wear the hoodie. People seem to love wearing panda pullover with short shorts (despite the fact you can’t even SEE them), Cleopatra’s Sandals, and [insert some random generic accessories here]. Sure, that looks…okayish, but we can do better! Panda pullover is actually very casual, so it probably looks best with jeans or leggings. It looks like more of a winter top, too, so scarves work very nicely with it while also managing to cover up some of the crappier shading. 😀

Well, enough of my yammering, because I’m sure you guys want outfits in this outfit post:

I wear chalk too muchit physically hurt me to take chalk off for thisthis hair will always make me think of Coraline

Yes, I know I’m wearing chalk and other popular stuff in these outfits, but the point is to combine popular items with less-wanted ones, not necessarily to wear one popular item with a bunch of shop items or whatever. Really, it’s making the popular items look original that counts, at least in my book. 😉 (Plus you can substitute hair and other things you like with these outfits, but I don’t really care for most of my hair/boards/etc. so that’s why I’m wearing chalk.)

So what did you think? Has my post inspired you to put together some new outfits using popular items? Do you want to see me do this with any specific items in the future? (If you do, just suggest them!) Do you think I love chalk too much? Well, no matter what your answers are to these questions, feel free to leave them in a comment below!

P.S. Also, those other outfits I made with panda pullover are all fine and nice, but we all know the REAL best way to wear it:

My Fantage Anniversary

So if you stalk the comments on FM, you’ve seen me in the Trendsetters list, or you’ve heard me mention this somewhere else, you probably know today is the first anniversary of my joining Fantage. If you’re curious about what my first impression of it was, you can read my post about Fantage on my old BV blog here. Of course I had no idea what MyMall was for a couple of weeks and ended up not doing anything with my permissions, I didn’t really know what I was doing for Chocolate Factory (the event going on when I joined), and I didn’t figure out how to level up for a few days, but somehow I managed to end up getting pretty much all my dream items, getting membership (thanks again, Casey!), passing level 1000, and joining FTWP. 😛

I also want to point out that while I might have sounded incredibly stupid in that last paragraph, I DID know to save my eCoins when I could.

Anyway, this was my first Fantage picture (and my first outfit):

my first Fantage pic

I still like that dress and that hair, but I prefer my “signature” hair… I should probably also point out that I didn’t keep those brown eyes for very long. I moved to the big anime-esque eyes something like a day after I joined. 😛

And, finally, this is how I look now. Yes, I purposely went to LeShop to take that picture because the first one was there, too.

I start playing Fantage and I can’t get eCoins quickly enough to get new outfits, and now I have a ton of clothes and no real interest in anything I don’t already have… Sigh. At least we get halfway decent LeShop items tomorrow or on Thursday.

Sooooo yeah. Happy anniversary, me. 😛 And I’m sorry if you’ve been wanting me to post more, but I really don’t do a lot on Fantage, plus I haven’t had the motivation to make fashion posts. I’ll try to post more, though. *shrugs*
