How to Draw Chibi – AnnaArso’s Style

There are many different ways of drawing chibi. Really, chibi is mainly just a miniature, simplified version of a character.

Many people have asked me how to draw them, and here’s a tutorial on how to basically draw the chibi body, and the eyes that I do! (Clothing and hair will not really be counted.)

OH AND ALSO THIS IS TRADITIONAL BECAUSE I’M TOO LAZY TO DO A DIGITAL DRAWING AKA MY PEN TABLET DOESN’T WORK

Without further adieu, here I go!

Step 1: Draw a circle. This will be the head!

2. Draw a really skinny, rounded shape that kinda looks like a skinny trapezoid!

3. Draw the rectangular legs! (Can be changed depending on the pose, but the general idea is that they’re essentially rectangles.)

 

4. Draw the rectangular arms! (Note: In this case, some parts of the rectangle are hidden because arms are placed on the side.)

Congrats, you have completed a simple base! That isn’t so hard, now is it?

Oh, and add some clothing to your chibi. (Yeah, not doing a tutorial for this, sorry!) :^)

Okay, now onto the face!

Step 1: Draw…. A curve.

Step 2: Draw an oval inside said curve.

Step 3: Add some shading. ;D

Step 4: Add a small nose and mouth!

Step 5: Draw eyebrows and add another eye! (Or make them wink if you’re lazy like me.)

TA DA! You are finished!
